IGF-1 LR3 (Insulin-Like Growth Factor-1 Long Arg3) is a synthetic analog of the naturally occurring hormone IGF-1, which is produced mainly by the liver in response to growth hormone. It was engineered to remain active in the body longer than native IGF-1 by reducing its binding to IGF-binding proteins.
